Souvenirs

Souvenirs by Debbi Mumm is a discontinued yarn from Joann Craft stores.

Which is unfortunate because while it is a bit humdrum in the ball band, once it is dyed it is quite amazing.

Souvenirs is a blend of 33% acrylic, 30% nylon, 22% mohair and 15% polyester. It is 12 strands of light weight yarn and threads braided together.

The food color will dye the nylon and the mohair .

The dyed yarn ends up with pearly white thread and fuzzy colored yarn. Some of yarn takes more dye then others parts.

While you can't buy this yarn anymore, keep and eye out for other woven blend yarns that would be interesting to over-dye.

Our dyebaths were Wilton icing gel in Delphinium blue and McCormick red.
